How to remove Counterflix from the computer and browsers

Counterflix is an advertising program, created to show you ads and generate clicks and referrals. But what’s the point of it? Some people think that suchlike programs’ purpose is to annoy the users and force them to buy AV software. That’s not even close! Other people think that Counterflix is created to sell something, as it advertises the websites and redirects users to them. This point of view is reasonable, but the truth is much simpler: the purpose of any adware is to make you click on the ad. Scammers don’t want you to buy anything, because that will be too complicated. If the fraud scheme includes selling something, you need a website, and some goods for sale. These goods might be counterfeit or low-quality, but they must exist. Besides that, if user will purchase some goods and won’t receive them (or receive something that doesn’t fit to the description and pictures on the website) – he can sue the seller and this is not very good for scammers. So, they just show you tons of ads and wait until you click on them.

What is Counterflix. Removal reasons and methods

Now let's look at how clicks can help scammers earn money. Internet-advertising is a large business, and there is a system adopted as the basis of all calculations on payment of such advertising. This system is called pay-per-click, and its essence is fully described in its name. The advertiser pays each time when somebody clicks on his ad. It’s very simple and effective, because advertising company can’t be responsible for the advertiser’s website quality. If user clicked on ad, advertiser’s work is done, and he receives money. He might spend hours on the website and purchase goods for hundreds or even thousands of dollars, or, he might spend five seconds on the website, decide that it’s not reliable, and close it. Web-scammers show hundreds of ads to thousands of users, and there are few percent that click on those links willingly. Other 95% just want to close ads, and click on links while trying to hide them. They will be redirected to advertiser’s website and will close it immediately, but the click will be counted. Now you see that Counterflix isn’t useful, and the best you can do is to remove it as soon as possible.
