How to remove OptiBuy from the computer and browsers

OptiBuy is an adware which means that this program never meant to be useful. This is a common example of advertising tool that baits users with catchy name and the long list of inexistent features. It was created to receive profit from advertising fraud schemes and other illegal activity. Further in this article we’ll explain you the point of these schemes and the ways for you to quit them.

What is OptiBuy. Removal reasons and methods

OptiBuy is an adware that shows you annoying ads on the desktop and in browser. It changes the settings of browser to show more ads and to make the system more vulnerable to incoming threats. As the program’s name say, its developers try to represent it as a tool that somehow optimizes your purchases on the Internet. It is one of the common tricks. If hackers try to make adware look like useful tool – they create “internet browsing helpers”, “discount searchers”, “purchase optimizers” and other suchlike tools with nonexistent functions. This particular tool declares that it will show you the best deals and offers every day, making them easy to find. It will gather all the most profitable deals, discounts and sales for you and show them in a fancy window on the desktop with user-friendly interface. Of course this is not true. What you will receive every day is a bunch of useless ads and links to suspicious websites that sell third-rate goods or distribute dangerous software. The ads will grow more and more annoying, they will appear on the desktop, in each new tab and on your favorite websites, making the web-browsing almost impossible.

Adware penetrates the victim’s computer with help of one simple method that is called bundled installation. Of course, user might download adware by himself, but we won’t consider this option. Bundled installation means that user downloads a software bundle and installs it on his PC. Actually he needs only one program from the bundle and he even might not be aware that there are other programs in there. These other programs are, most likely, viruses. When user downloads a bundle and starts the installation, he receives a dialogue window where there’s an option between “recommended installation” and “installation for experienced users”. The options might be called otherwise but the point is that one option (that is selected by default) is very easy and safe and other is very dangerous and might trigger system errors and other problems. In fact, if you click the recommended button, you will install all programs from the bundle, no matter are they useful or not. The “scary” button will allow you to choose what program to install and what – to decline.

This method is very popular among all kinds of web-scammers and virus distributors because it is cheap, easy and totally safe for them. Hacking activity is illegal in many countries, and by hacking activity we understand all actions that cause the theft of information, or any damage to the files or programs that are on user’s PC. Adware doesn’t damage or steal any files because it has another purpose – to show ads. You may ask why it’s so important to show ads? Of course you understand that the more people will see the ad, the more effective it will be. Also you should understand that it works only with decent ads that doesn’t annoy you and doesn’t appear on top of all windows each minute. The ads generated by adware won’t increase the sales of advertised goods, won’t create the positive opinion about it and rather even contrariwise. So what’s the point? This is all about money, and the money come from the Internet advertising payment system called pay-per-click. It means that advertiser pays for each click that has been made on his ads. Scammers show you tons of ads and you desperately try to hide them and accidentally click on some of them – that’s how scammers make money. There is only one way to stop this – to delete OptiBuy from the system once and for all.

OptiBuy removal tool

The deletion of any adware could be performed manually or with help of antiviral tool. There is some difference between these methods, so we will describe them. Manual deletion requires some skill and experience, so it might look too complicated for a newbie. It is completely safe and effective against single virus, but becomes less effective against massive viral infection. The automatic deletion with help of AV-tool is equally efficient against all types of viruses and all kinds of infection. We recommend you to use Spyhunter antivirus that can clean even the completely clogged system in 10-15 minutes. It is fast, lightweight and compatible with other antiviruses, so you can use it as a primary or as a secondary scanner. If you’re interested in buying Spyhunter - just click the link below.
