How to remove SafeFinder

SafeFinder is an adware program that affects the user's computer and begins to show vast amounts of advertising. Advertising programs are divided into adware and hijackers, and SafeFinder belongs to the latter category. This category focuses solely on browsers, infecting them, changing settings, and trying to get the maximum benefit from each user, while reducing the quality of its Internet access. Similar programs are produced by hundreds every day, and with some experience, you can easily distinguish advertising program from the useful one.

The first thing that differs advertising programs is the name. Fraudsters are trying to push in the program name as many words as possible that are associated with convenient Internet access. These are words like: "search", "fast", "easy", "deals", "find", "safe" and others. Scammers try to push in the name of the program as much as possible of these words, from which produced such names as SafeFinder. The second obvious difference is the claimed function. If you look at all known useful program, you will notice that they are performing a strictly limited number of functions, such as virus protection, audio playback, video playback, and so on. Fraudsters know that the average user is little versed in computer programs, and therefore claim that their programs are doing just about anything. The most common feature among adware is a "magnificent" search. We are referring, in particular, the description SafeFinder program, which promises users that they will be able to search for anything on the Internet faster, better, without ads and with no risk. In fact, it's all meaningless set of words, and the SafeFinder is totally useless.

Penetration of SafeFinder on users' computers is performed by one scheme, which is called bundled installation. This scheme provides for combining several programs into a single file, and the subsequent installation of the entire set on the user's computer, although the user would like to install only one program. These kits are made according to this principle: the scammers take one useful program, and 4-5 useless or malicious programs. This automatically means that, most likely, if you found SafeFinder on your computer, it is infected by several other viruses that you have not yet discovered. To find them, you will need to carefully check the whole list of installed programs and add-ons for the browser, or scan your computer with the help of high quality anti-virus software.

Advertising programs such as SafeFinder, can be used exclusively for earnings, and earnings can come from two main sources. The first source is the payment from owners of unsafe websites that promote their websites via advertising programs. These sites are of poor quality and their content is meaningless and rough, so that users simply are not interested in visiting them. However, if advertising program will show you a link to such website every day, sooner or later you'll click on it, and thus improve the performance of the site. Each browser hijacker is working with several dozen of these sites, and shows the user dozens of links on each visited site that delivers a huge inconvenience. The second source of income is unfair advertising companies. Many people know that online advertising is paid based on the number of clicks made on the banner ad or transitions to the advertised site. The system does not take into account the time spent by the user on the site, and that was to buy if committed, that is, even if you click on the link, and then close it, the advertiser will pay for your click. Unscrupulous businessmen are trying to harm their rivals with help of adware, destroying their advertising budget with thousands of useless referrals from uninterested users. As you can see, being present on your PC SafeFinder harms not only you, but also many others. If you are tired of a huge amount of advertising on all sites and you want to use the Internet normally again - you should remove SafeFinder from the system.
