How to restore encrypted data

As it was stated in hacker’s message, the files can’t be decrypted without a cypher key. Fraudsters insist on this, focusing your attention and trying to show the futility of attempts. In fact, there are several ways to restore your data without spending a dime. You need to remove ransomware-virus from your computer before data restoration: follow the ransomware removal instruction. The first, and most reliable way – to use the backup. If you have a checkpoint, set up at least 2-3 days before you receive a message from the hackers - safely use it after removing a virus from your computer. All of your files will be back to the state in which they were prior to infection. You should remember that decent backups must be stored on separate hard drive and it must be disconnected from computer if you aren’t using it currently. If the data will be stored in this way – they will be protected from any kind of computer infections, including ransomware.

Method 1. Restore files from Windows backup

  • Click Start
  • Click Control Panel

Method 2. Use special programs to restore files

The second method is not as secure, but if you do not have the habit of doing backups - you should use it. In the encryption process, the virus creates an encrypted copies of files and deletes the original ones. So you can use shadow copies to restore data. There are two programs that make it easier to work with the shadow copies of files and give you direct access to them. These are Shadow Explorer and Recuva. Recuva website and Shadow Explorer website. These programs can recover files using the Shadow Copies Service – the in-built Windows system that saves the copies of files before their deletion or change. Unfortunately, modern ransomware can delete shadow copies, but this requires administrator rights in the system. if the victim used admin account and confirmed the changes, suggested by ransomware – the shadow copies are deleted and this method won’t help you.

Method 3. Use special decryptor

In that moment there is not many programs that can suggest this option. Kaspersky Ransomware Decryptor is a free and helpful tool. But there is no 100% decryption chance. Official Kaspersky website with ransomware decryptor. In addition to the Kaspersky Laboratory there are a few more respected companies specializing in computer security that offer their own software for decrypting files. Among them, we can highlight EmsiSoft and TrendMicro, which very often release updates and monitor all new viruses.

Let's summarize. First, to prevent infection is much easier than correcting its effects. Therefore, always keep the anti-virus on, and scan system regularly. Secondly, regularly do a full backup to be able to restore your system at no cost. Thanks to the information in the previous paragraphs, you know that only one small violation (confirmation of changes made to the computer settings by an unknown program) deprives thousands of users of the opportunity to restore their files for free. If any dialog or process in the manager causes you concern - use the Internet and find out if it is dangerous. And remember, you play the main role in ensuring the security of your PC. If you are not careful on the Internet, and act contrary to the rules of computer- and Internet-security, no anti-virus will help you.

You guys over here are turning the computer profession to be demonic and criminal, how will you send viruses as bad as cerber ransomeware to decrypt people's files, do u know if they have back up or not? why will u stoop so low to do evil in the name of demanding for money. I think this cerber ransomeware company should be sued for damages.
they are evil and wicked. I am a Nigerian, and i was hit by cerber ransomeware 4.5.1, i still can't find a solution to my encrypted files which are very important to me. You guys here are intentionally wicked. God will deal with all those staying awake on systems to create viruses and send to people. demons.
