How to remove Super TuneUp from the system

Super TuneUP is an utility for registry optimization by supertuneup[dot]com. As I can see on the program's interface it's Microsoft Partner, and the link on their website goes to microsoft, but it's empty. The program looks malicious, because of scanning manner: it starts without users permissions and begin to find too many mistakes even on clear system.

Super TuneUp adware

The program promise to increase startup speed, faster PC performance and keeps your system running like new. However, the system became slower, because Super TuneUP adds to the startup menu and launch when computer starts. It continues to show it's own advertisement with suggestions to buy it during all days.

Virustotal is agree with us and says that 21/67 antiviruses detects it as malicious. Link to the setup file scanning results: here.

How program was appeared on your system

There are lots of sorts of advertising utilities, and they could infect the system in lots of ways. We know them all, but many methods just aren’t effective enough to put them on our list. If you wish to learn how to cope with the best ones, here they are:

  • Affiliate installation, AKA "bundling" is the easiest way for any virus to penetrate user's workstation. It’s quite simple to arrange, and its most helpful feature (from fraudsters’ point of view) is that user executes the whole process with his own hands. The only thing they have to do is to assemble an adware bundle where several examples of adware are mixed with a program that people would like to install. A victim likes the program, so he gets the bundle, runs the installation and gets all pointless junk from it. To evade suchlike situation, we recommend you to read closely all windows where they want you to make checkmarks. Don’t click "OK" without thinking, because it causes many issues.
  • Infection from developers’ site. This technique is less efficient than the previous, and commonly, it’s successful when an advertising program comes from some more or less well-known portal. Say, a dude wants his site to be more popular and makes an application, reminding you of updates, new content, etc. The problem with these utilities is that after a while you’ll start seeing promotional content every five seconds. The good news is that these utilities could be eliminated easily, and they won’t come back again.
  • Infection via scammers' web page or from a special link. It's more about dangerous Trojans, but Super TuneUp uses such way in rare cases. We're sure that you’ve encountered it at least once. While you are on a site, you see a banner, proposing you to get a super-mega helpful program which will do faster than well-known search engines. You've heard it already, huh? You pass the link and see a bright strangely-looking site, explaining to you that usual search engines are evil, yet Super TuneUp program is different. It is fair, fast, and will not dump your private information to large companies. And it doesn't lie about it, as it'll pass the information to much smaller organizations and parties of hackers, which know how to use it. It’s also plain to avoid: just ignore pop-up banners. No matter how they look like – don't click at all. Ignore all invitations which came from unknown sources, and the system will stay clean and fast.

We’re certain that unwanted software infected your computer through one of these techniques, and now you're able to protect the computer against them. Let's just uninstall Super TuneUp.
